Irico’s metro train is the product of technical expertise and engineering experience in the design and manufacture of urban rail rolling stock. These trains are designed for operation on the metro lines of major Iranian cities—including Tabriz, Isfahan, and Shiraz—and fully comply with the technical specifications and track gauges of these cities’ metro systems.
Technical Specifications
The body structure is made of durable carbon steel to provide high strength, durability and safety along with optimal maintenance cost. The composition of the train is as follows

is designed, in which:
Tc: trailer wagon with driver’s cabin
M: motorized wagon
Mp: motorized wagon with pantograph
+: semi-automatic coupler
– : semi-permanent bar
Each motorized wagon has two driven bogies and trailer wagons use non-driven bogies. The middle wagons are connected by semi-permanent couplers, and both ends of the train are equipped with semi-automatic couplers to enable towing, rescue, and quick connection of trains.
The power supply of the train is supplied through the overhead contact line of the Overhead Catenary System (DC 1500V) and the electric current is transferred to the drive circuits of each wagon through the pantograph installed on the MP wagons.
The maximum operational speed of the train is 80 km/h and its design speed is 90 km/h. Also, the maximum axle load is less than 14 tons and this feature increases the life of railway lines and reduces maintenance costs.
